Angel watching over me...

Just wrote this poem while I was working...

There's an angel watching over me
He died to set me free
I'm not alone
There's an angel
He holds me when I sleep
My dreams he safely keeps

And I know I am not alone
through the calm and through the storm
He carries me
Raindrops like angels tears
they softly kiss my cheek
It's how He comforts me
And I know
He's always guiding me
His light shines bright so I can see
I am not alone

This angel He whispers in my ear
Be still
His grace it wipes away all my fears
And He holds each and every tear
in his hands
No matter where I am
I'm never far from home
Always welcome at His throne
He's with me wherever I go

Easter decor...just for fun!

Mom has a gift when it comes to decorating...she likes to make the decor enchanting for the kids. It is enchanting and magical for everyone! : ) She is very creative!

Ave Maria-me singing

I recorded this in the 'studio' the other day for my family-per request. I wanted to give it to them on Easter sunday. Decided to make it a little video/song too so I could share it with more people. The more we care the more we share! Spreading His glory everywhere!! : )

The me I want to be...

Watch and Listen!

The creation worshipping the Creator. Carrie sings this song to her Creator, worshipping Him and glorifying Him to the utmost. He gave her this amazing gift because He knew she loves Him and would use it to glorify Him, that was His plan all along before she was even born. It's incredible to see and hear her love for God. He radiates through her with every word she sings and speaks. It's impossible not to be affected by it. I just love it because I know that whoever watched this definitely got more than they bargained for. I happened to just turn to this country channel last night where they were honoring all these different female artists. Little did I know that God was going to use it as a platform for His glory in a major way. WoW! And the timing was/is perfect because it was on Good Friday. Right before she sang this song, Vince Gill had sung one of Carrie's number one hits to her. He chose to sing "Jesus take the Wheel" another perfect song for the occasion...Good Friday. No matter what day it is, everyday is always a day to rejoice and sing to the Lord. Carrie was the last one out of all the women. I'm just so excited that God got all His children to worship Him and bring the focus back to Him. Save the BEST for last....God is the BEST! We wouldn't even be here or be able to sing and worship if He hadn't willed it.

After you watch How Great Thou Art (video above) watch the video below. This video has Jesus Take the Wheel by Vince Gill and it has Carrie's background story/journey to God getting her to where she is now. What I love is how humble she is, she knows where and from Whom the gift and power comes from. In that moment right before they announced she was the winner of American Idol, she looks up and clasps her hands...I bet she had just sent a prayer up to heaven. What is so cool is that God used Carrie as a vessel to carry His message. Packaged in a very popular country song (which became widely popular in many genres), is a worship song about the Lord. You see worship comes in every shape and size and packages. God will use any and every chance to reach as many people and as wide an audience as possible. Notice in the background all the country stars singing along and worshipping. I love when Carrie puts her hand up to give Him praise, and Wynona Judd does too. They know what's really going on. It's not just Vince Gill singing some top billboard chart hit, it is worship & praise. So awesome! Each time I see people in the audience singing along, I get chills because whether they know it or not they are singing a prayer to God. Each word that they speak/sing they are sending up to heaven through their hearts. Powerful!

Celine Dion-Dance with My Father

This song hits right where the heart is for me. Hope you enjoy this video of Celine Dion singing it with lyrics. Makes me cry every time. This is for my daddy up in heaven. I am also dedicating this to ANYONE out there who has lost a father, doesn't know their father, or has lost a parent...
We are all someone's son or daughter...the most important thing to remember is that God is our heavenly Father forever and always and we will never lose Him. I know who I am because I know whose I am (I am God's daughter). That defines me. The truest and only unconditional LOVE is GOD.

Adventures in WONDERland

God has a way of just giving you out of the blue surprises when you least expect them...this way He gets all the credit! So last night I was going for a walk with a friend and as we were fellowshipping we heard some music in the background. As we walked closer and closer toward the music I got more and more intrigued. We came up to the house where it was coming from and I had to stop. We listened the this band rocking out and jamming and then we they finished the song we clapped. Mind you it was 9:30 at night, dark outside, we are walking past some random house only to stop and listen to a free concert on the sidewalk. They peeked through the blinds and said thanks after we had clapped. They continued playing on and we just had to stay for the second song...they were really great and we were getting a free concert so why not right? We both love music so it was perfect. Well after that second song we clapped again and they opened the blinds, astonished that we were still there. So we started talking to them through the window.
My friend told one of the guitarist that I am a singer. He ran outside and invited us to come in and check it out. They seemed innocent young and sweet so we thought why not...my gut was telling me it was safe. And it was. We went into their studio and wow...it was totally decked out with all kinds of equipment, mics, amps, guitars, drums, headphones...more stuff that I don't know the names for lol! The lead guitarist handed me a mic and said just go with the flow...sing with us. I was like what?!?! What am I doing here in the first place? But they all seemed nice and the vibe was good and I was craving a musical jam session so I figured why not? We jammed for an hour singing some of their originals, so oldies (but goodies) and of course some of my favorites. They asked me to sing a couple songs that I love so I chose "Lead me to the Cross" and "Lovely." It was so fun! My friend and I also got to talk to them about the Lord which was the best part...all the glory to HIM! Who knows why God inserted me into a band jam session out of nowhere last night, but one thing is for sure-God is Sovereign and He has a bigger plan here. He definitely met some of my needs in a HUGE way and connected me with some awesome musicians, and who knows what all He did in their hearts but I know it's good!

I love the crazy adventures the Lord throws my way when I am willing and available and fearless! You never know where and when He is just going to throw you a curve ball and use you and meet your needs...its one crazy ride...its all an adventure! Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react. Faith loves the Fearless! We are to enter the Kingdom of God like little children...with awe and WONDER. I want to return to the child-like faith more and more each day with my Lord!

NEW WORSHIP

You gotta check this video/song out that I just remade...it may sound familiar to you
but it's a whole new take on it...TOTALLY NEW take on it : )
Hope you enjoy! Please let me know what you think about it...It is completely different
from anything else I have ever done music-wise and it's not really supposed to sound
like me.
I know its funky and creative and unique but most ideas are at first.
Everything starts with an idea and a prayer...if it's God's will it's God's bill.

Daughter's of the KING

God's Word says that His daughters are PILLARS. I was very curious as to what that meant so I did some digging and here is what I came up with.
PILLAR: a person regarded as reliably providing essential support for something. Upright post, mainstay, leading light, worthy, backbone, ROCK, upholder, anchor, centerpiece, cornerstone, chief support, foundation, champion, tower of strength.

PSALM 144:12

May our DAUGHTERS be like graceful pillars
carved to beautify a palace. (NLT)

When our sons shall be as plants grown large in their youth and our DAUGHTERS as sculptured corner pillars hewn like those of a palace.(AMP)

Make our sons in their prime like sturdy oak trees, Our DAUGHTERS as shapely and bright as fields of wildflowers. (MSG)

(NIV) Then our sons in their youth
will be like well-nurtured plants,
and our DAUGHTERS will be like pillars
carved to adorn a palace.

Women are not weak, they carry one of Jesus' most beautiful qualities: humility and submission. Not to be mistaken for weakness...it is meekness...like Jesus.

Eve was also called Adam's Ezer Kenegdo(Hebrew)-life sustainer, life-support, sustainer alongside him. The Word says that women are the man's Ezer Kenegdo and as God's daughters we are pillars. We are the daughter's of the King of KINGS...therefore we are princesses! "The King is enthralled with your beauty; honor Him, for He is your Lord...men will seek her favor. All glorious is the princess within her chamber." Psalm 45:11-13
EVE is Adam's EZER KENEGDO (Article by Freedman)

The case that begins to build is that we can be sure that `ezer means "strength" or "power" whenever it is used in parallelism with words for majesty or other words for power such as `oz or `uzzo. In fact, the presence of two names for one king, Azariah and Uzziah, both referring to God's strength, makes it abundantly clear that the root `ezermeaning "strength" was known in Hebrew.

Therefore, could we conclude that Genesis 2:18 be translated as "I will make a power [or strength] corresponding to man." Freedman even suggests on the basis of later Hebrew that the second word in the Hebrew expression found in this verse should be rendered equal to him. If so, then God makes for the man a woman fully his equal and fully his match. In this way, the man's loneliness will be assuaged.

The same line of reasoning occurs with the apostle Paul, who urged in 1 Corinthians 11:10, "For this reason, a woman must have power [or authority] on her head [that is to say, invested in her]."

This line of reasoning, which stresses full equality, is continued in Genesis 2:23 where Adam says of Eve, "This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called ‘woman,’ for she was taken out of man." The idiomatic sense of this phrase "bone of my bones" is a "very close relative" to "one of us" or in effect "our equal."

The woman was never meant to be an assistant or "helpmate" to the man. The word “mate” slipped into English since it was so close to the Old English word “meet,” which means "fit to" or "corresponding to" the man which comes from the phrase that likely means "equal to."

What God had intended, then, was to make a "power" or "strength" for the man who would in every way "correspond to him" or even "be his equal."

What absorbs you so much that you forget yourself
and you just "flow"?
What grabs your attention? Where you can spend
hours doing it and it doesn't
even phase you. You get hyper-focused...in the zone.
You don't want to stop...you could write a novel,
stay up all night reading,
write music and record for hours on end...
"Imitation is the fast road to failure. The worst thing to
be is successful as someone else."

THE REAL YOU: Don’t look at yourself as the world sees you - weak, limited, a failure, only human. See yourself as God sees you - As His Child, Chosen, Accepted, Forgiven, Saved, Renewed, Beloved, Blessed, Precious, Heir to the Throne, a New Creation, a Victor n Conqueror n that’s just the beginning! Eph 1:3-6 When tragedy hits n you feel as if life is closing in on you, God sees you as a person of hope. No matter how bleak your situation, Jesus is with you all the way.

Belief in God and knowing who you are in HIM, thats the foundation of everything great
Standing firmly on that foundation saves you from confusion and allows
you to sing your own song into the world. STAY TRUE TO YOU!!! God only made ONE of you! Nobody else can be a better YOU!

FINDING YOUR VOICE

Finding your own voice is not just something that singers do. We all have a voice of declaration inside of us. As we peel back the layers, search within our hearts and wholeheartedly seek God; integration of our public and private self is revealed more and more. When I competed in a Christian music showcase a few years ago, I remember one of the judges being very harsh with me. She told me that I hit all the notes and I sounded good and everything but then she proceeded to say that I had not found "my voice" yet. I didn't understand at first what she meant. She said that my voice sounded great, but that was it. There was no connection. Like I was a robot or something. I was a good carbon copy, covering Brooke Fraser, and I could imitate her really well...but they did not want another Brooke Fraser.

My immediate goal was to find Malorie McKenna's voice. So what if I could sound just like Brooke and sing the song just like her. They sign artists, not because they are the best, but because there is something unique and different about them than anyone else. Once I realized I had to find my voice, I was terrified and also confused. I did not know how one would go about finding "your voice." I began praying about it and really seeking God and asking Him to help me find my voice and continue to reveal it to me. I am still on that journey, but each day and each experience of worship and singing brings me one step closer. The more I wrote my own music the more I found my voice. Unlocking the melodies, words, songs deep within your heart revealed so much to me. It's as if those songs have been there all along just waiting for me to unleash them. I believe God put them there, in my heart before I was even born. Also the more I became myself and stripped away all the facades and people pleasing, the more I was able to connect with and find my voice. Experiences of pain and pressing into God are the most powerful integration catalysts.

There is something unique, God-given, different and special about your voice that no one else has. Finding that niche, rather than trying to fit into the mold of what seems "right" or popular or good, is the hardest yet most rewarding thing!

THE UNSHAKEABLE KINGDOM

"The Japan meteorological agency has issued a tsunami warning for a wave of up to 6 feet. The warning covers a coastal area already torn apart by last month's tsunami, which is believed to have killed some 25,000 people and has sparked an ongoing crisis at a nuclear power plant." **pray for Japan**

I will shake not only the earth but the heavens...the words once more indicate the removing of what can be shaken-created things-so that what CANNOT be shaken may remain. Hebrews 12:26-27
WE ARE RECEIVING A KINGDOM THAT CANNOT BE SHAKEN! 12:28
For here we do not have an enduring city, but we're looking for the city that is to come. Heb.13:14

Plans, plans, plans...we make plans and God laughs. He is in control! I trust Him! He knows the plans He has for each and every one of His children. Stay in the moment. Listen to His whispers. Let Him lead and guide you. Seek Him with your whole heart. Put your hope in Him and not in things (man-made creations that can be taken and shaken). Choose the good part that cannot be taken or shaken. The eternal things of the heart will endure forever...everything else is just a chasing after the wind. What cannot be taken or shaken is HIS Kingdom and His will. Nothing can thwart God's will and plan. I could spend my whole life trying to please others. I could spend my whole life trying to make money and earn things and treasured possessions...but what happens when the Tsunami hits out of nowhere, the earthquake comes, the car accident, the death, the stolen possessions...if I had put my whole life, hope, time and purpose in those things that can be taken and shaken, then I am left with nothing. But if I spend my whole life putting my hope, time and purpose in God and what is valuable to Him...the HEART...that cannot be taken from me. That has eternal worth. Faith that is of more worth than gold.

I see more and more people losing houses, cars, money, collectibles, family heirlooms...having to sell their things for a way to survive or just losing them all together for different reasons. I see this hopelessness in their eyes that kills me. It breaks me heart!!!! Maybe they put their hope in those things more than they realized, but the TRUTH is that there is always HOPE. The hope is an anchor to our souls...keeping us rooted and grounded in Truth and in His grace and unfailing love. It is never too late to put all our hope in God! He wants the best for all of His children. No matter how bad the circumstances look, we must not tremble, we must not be shaken off the rock.

Faith is believing in what you do not see. Let faith be your eyes! If you do not see the hope, if every circumstance points to doom & destruction, if it doesn't make sense on paper, if it seems impossible...please don't give up!!!!! When all odds are against us all we have to do is to rely on God's supernatural power and strength and sovereignty. These are only what our human eye can see...but there is something just around the corner that we cannot see but God can and He is sending it our way. HOLD OUT FOR HOPE! God is a God of miracles, a God of second chances. Nothing is impossible for God...nothing! All we have to do is believe and have faith...no matter how bad it 'looks'...have faith! He might not give us what we want, but like a good Father, He always gives us what we need.

Purpose-Perfect timing-Beth Moore

Purpose from pain

My life verse is Gen. 50:20
Beth Moore says it perfectly here! This is it in a nutshell...a Holy nutshell : ) All the pain we went through and go through...God is using it ALL for good!!!!!!!! One of my favorite quotes from her here "I would rather go through pain and have PURPOSE than to avoid every difficulty and life end up meaning nothing..." AMEN! God is omnipotent...all powerful...sovereign...the ultimate authority. I hate to say something so cliche but, "no pain no gain"...well the more we share in Christ's suffering the more God will be glorified. As we stand in that pain, unashamed with the JOY of the Lord as our strength, and the Rock as our steady foundation...we cannot be shaken!!!

"I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ...for whose sake I've lost all things. I consider rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own...but that which thru faith in Christ & fellowship of sharing in His suffering...Phil. 3:8-10
